On August 23, the Dwyer team donated an assortment of school supplies to the Springfield Elementary School. The donations raised by employees at our Michigan City location included new school supplies such as: pens, pencils, colored pencils, paper, folders, rulers, and backpacks.
With the new school year already here, Dwyer hopes this fundraiser will be able to assist the young students of the community.
Dwyer Instruments, Inc. Senior Human Resources Manager, Shawn Rutkowski, said:
The idea behind it was to make sure every kid has the opportunity to succeed. So many times kids are limited, whether it's financially, time or opportunity. With Dwyer being an engineering company, we value what education can do and we want to make sure we eliminate any obstacles children have to be able achieve the success that they deserve.

Access to a notebook or a set of colored pencils may be the determining factor for the development of an aspiring artist or inventor. Dwyer is eliminating these challenges with the hope of helping students to realize their dreams.
In the past, Dwyer employees have run book drives and partnered with the United Way of LaPorte County for events such as the Kindergarten Countdown program and “Day of Caring”. Dwyer strives to support both its community and the future generation of engineers.
