On November 7, teams of Dwyer Instruments, Inc. volunteers from the Wakarusa manufacturing plant assisted at the 8th annual Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) event hosted by the Nappanee Missionary Church. FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals for malnourished children across the globe.
Dwyer Instruments Plant Manager, Peggy Stover, stated:

We came together as a whole team. We were in groups of 20 people and packed a lot of good in those boxes.

The event lasted four days, from November 7 through November 10. At the conclusion of the event, “the church [was] able to provide food to 75 local pantries and send nutritious meals to millions of hungry children” (WSBT 22). The meals donated to FMSC are sent to food partners worldwide.
In the past, Dwyer Instruments teams have assisted with a number of other volunteer opportunities, including blood drives and fundraisers. Dwyer strives to support both its community and the future generation of engineers.
